Engineer, Hunter, Shooter

A competitive shooter for most of his life, Cody is a 9 year veteran of the United States Running Target Shooting Team. He has had a gun in his hand since before he could walk, and his trigger skills have taken him around the world. As one of the top rifle shooters in the country, Cody has represented the United States at a number of international shooting competitions including World Cups and World Championships, but target shooting doesn’t drive his passion.

At his core, Cody is a big game hunter. For over 25 years, Cody has pursued big game across the country. His adventures have taken him through many of the lower 48 states, as well as Alaska, and Canada. His pursuits range from chasing wild boar in the swamps of Mississippi, to stalking goats and Dall Sheep on the crown of the continent. He has taken all of the North American Super 10 plus a few more species and some of his trophies have put his name in both the Boone and Crockett and Pope and Young record books. Cody is a successful and well-rounded hunter. A true adventurer with a drive for “Do It Yourself” back- country hunts. Persistence, hard work, a hunger for adventure, and countless days in the field are the foundation of his success.

A lifelong resident of Montana, Cody is a Civil Engineer by trade and makes his home in Northwest Montana near the town of Kalispell. In the off season you can find him fly fishing Montana’s rivers, ridge topping Montana’s backcountry and teaching his children about the outdoors.

“I believe that there is no more direct path to who you are than down a mountain trail. The capacity to endure fatigue and exposure while keeping your wits, as hunter, is the foundation of both a successful hunt as well as a man’s character. As Theodore Roosevelt, a great American and hunter once said, “the credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena.” – Cody
